Research activities
Teaching university students in fluid mechanics, indoor climate, heat-and-mass transfer and supervising students taking master courses and Ph.D. courses in several countries.

Performed research in the fields of aerodynamics, heat-and-mass transfer, indoor climate, measurements of physical parameters, and optimisation of heating and ventilation systems in buildings and vehicles. Results of the research are incorporated in European, American and international standards. Measuring instruments have been developed based on the research.

Investigator of 30 research projects sponsored by government and private organizations from Denmark, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Japan, Germany, Sweden and the European Community. Principle investigator and coordinator of national and international research projects.

Participated in the development of European, American and international standards in the field of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC). Member of two of ASHRAE's (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) standard committees and four technical committees. Contributed to two of ASHRAE's handbooks for engineers: Fundamentals and HVAC Applications.

Author and co-author of 75 technical papers published in 15 languages. Author and co-author of 22 reports on research projects and several work statements and proposals for research projects. Reviewer of research proposals and of scientific papers submitted for publication in international journals. Has given invited lectures in several countries.

Member of HVAC societies in several countries. Has received awards for his research.
